On and off...

I took up ice hockey at the age of 36, learning alongside my son Adam. He became a goalie, representing first Sheffield at U10, U12A including a National Final appearance, U12B and U14B, before moving to Nottingham U14B when Sheffield had a goalie glut.

I began to play recreational hockey with Ashfield Avalanche, before the club even existed - I was a founder member as such. I dabbled in a bit of roller hockey with Midlife Madness, but prefer ice. Then I became manager & assistant coach of the Sheffield U14B team, after which I had a year out of hockey altogether.

Now I'm back with the Avs, and maybe next season some coaching with Nottingham...?

Daughter Hollz also wants to take up the game, which should see her join Nottingham Vipers next season.
