I work as Head of ICT at Ilkeston School in Derbyshire. As schools go, this one is fairly good and I’m happy to work there.
The ICT facilities are among the best around and there is little we cannot achieve. We achieved 93% of year 11 passing OCR Nationals First Award in ICT last year.
I’ve built up the ICT faculty to one which is respected throughout Derbyshire. Much of our work is posted to my educational resource website, ict4ocr.com
I also do some work for OCR, the exam board, moderating ICT coursework. I enjoy this work, though I don’t enjoy the time of year it happens at - the best month of summer taken up - but I’ve learned a lot and met many interesting and useful people during the course of it.
